I looked at my 3DS tonight (it's actually early Saturday morning) and saw the addition of 2 more Miis to make 4 total so far this week. I'm a little disappointed because I went to Barnes & Noble, a Nintendo Hot Spot, and only got one Mii from there. I didn't go there just for Miis though, I went there to buy Retro Gaming Magazine.

But, I didn't buy it. Earlier in the day I had skimmed through an issue of Electronic Games over at archive.org and got really excited about getting into magazines again. But, in thinking about it some more, I decided not to. Maybe because I have enough to read already, but also because I still want to finish these Dragon Magazines I got a few months ago and continue writing my Year of the Dragon piece. I feel like I should switch to a gaming mag and maybe I will, when I find some physical copies somewhere.

And to add to the awesomeness of my favorite coffee shop, The Gryphon Cafe, today I saw some people playing a German strategy board game about space. It's a Kosmos published game, but I can't remember the German title and I couldn't find it searching the web. It looked really cool though.

So it looks like this is it for BaD. I enjoyed it and I still have to catch up. I'm a few days behind on comments and all your blogs. I'll probably catch up by Sunday.

Happy algorithms pixlbits!

Yeah, I want to go to the store and start picking up gaming magazines again. Even when I wasn't buying many games, EGM was just fun to have and read.

It was nice getting them in the mail. Something to look forward to. I was considering a subscription to Retro Magazine. It's a lot cheaper than the newstand price of $12 an issue.

I've been thinking about subscribing to Retro gaming magazine. Then I think I could just look at stuff on the internet for free. Why am I such a cheap bastard sometimes lol. Undecided

Well, that's exactly what everyone else thinks too and that's why there's so few mags left. I'm just as much to blame. I llisten to a lot of podcasts now for my news. They have become my magazines to a degree.

Hey Barnes & Noble's are Mii Hotspots? I really do need to bring the 3DS XL next time I'm in the mall. I can get the folks at GameStop and B&N.

I don't know how long its been since I've touched a game board. I think I bought an issue of that Retro Game Mag, or something similar. Its interesting to read reviews about older titles to see any problems with the game that we seem to forget and only focus on the positives.

I want to know how a place becomes a Nintendo Hotspot. Is it a decision of the individual store manager, or the whole company and all their stores?

I was looking through old Electronic Games magazines on archive.org. It's way cooler than Dragon Mag to me right now, but I don't have any real world copies. I'd rather comment on a magazine I have in my hand.

I wonder if the company makes a deal with Nintendo. Nintendo gets to use their store as a hotspot, the store gets to in turn sell some exclusive item or have a bunch of publicity.

I imagine it's good for the store because it could bring people there. Maybe they pay Nintendo to have it because of that.
