Five miles of hilly hell this morning and my third race is done. I'm exhausted and sore and you'll have to read about it on my other blog. But it has pretty pictures!

My after-race late lunch with Jason's parents was a pulled pork sandwhich at the BBQ place at the end of my road, if that will make you salivate even more.

Trail runners are pretty humble. I got congratulated for doing an awesome job by the guy who won yesterday's race with a time of 41:01.
That's good. I'm not much of a fan of the cocky jock unless he/she is a buffoon like Duke Nukem.

What kind of dog is Bandit? He's pretty big.
Big compared to a chihuahua, maybe :) I consider him medium-sized at most. We think he's a chow/beagle mix, but no one really knows because he was a rescue picked up off a back road in Tennessee.

Well, at least yall rescued him. Maybe it was the distance in that picture, or more likely I'm just so used to how small Scarlett is, and automatically use that as a comparison lol. We had a Rottweiler once. Talk about an absolute nightmare to train and walk that dog!

First off props to you for being a bad ass and thanks for sharing your experiences! Also your friend Jerry is one serious bad ass. Nothing but respect from me. I haven't been out walking in a week, but after reading your two blogs I need to get off my behind and get going!
Thanks, Chris! And yeah, Jerry is incredible, amazing, inspirational, and humble. I'm pretty sure he could have finished ahead of me, but he chose to give Ann the moral support instead. And I'd never really spoken to him until this last race. So new friend made achivement unlocked, too :)
