Alan Moore. Child Pornography. Confusion.

I'd have to read this to have an opinion, but he does look creepy. The chick on his arm looks ok, though.

I know he also said Rorschach was meant to showcase the batshitness of Batman, or something. Only read Watchmen by him, but would like to read Killing Joke. Looks dark.

Why is the GoT chick crying, is she being raped?

Finally, you might like how a movie called You and Me and Everyone We Know handles underage sex. Nothing is shown, but you understand what happens.

I BaD and that's good!

Speaking of those shoutouts, I need to make sure to go to the blogs section of this site outside of my inbox more often. That's one drawback of having the messaging system, it makes it too exclusive.

Maybe Nick could add some code that sent alerts to inboxes when a new blogger comes along.

as it turns out, it's happening with older songs that were set to future end dates in Adobe Audition 3.0 which are too close to now. Meaning a) it's not nor was it my fault, b) it's not a problem I can fix simply by rechanging songs I changed. Ugh.

Here's a sample of seven artists I fixed after screwing with the stuff, chosen at random: Atomic Tom, Bad religion, Audioslave, Alpha Rev, Angels & Airwaves, Atreyu, Animal Collective. Aside from Bad Religion, mostly it was bands beginning with A. Can you guess some others?

The Indie Revolution: Taking a Look at the Overlooked #5...Aqua Kitty

My cat was an Aqua Kitty. He did not care about water. Interesting premise, milk mining. Makes me want to be a wildcatter ...

Update: Spelunky soothes depression

Posted on 02/01/2014 at 01:35 AM | Filed Under Blogs

Maybe I should get Spelunky before Arkham City then. Sorry you're feeling down, I've dealt with anxiety/depression most of my life, and got help for it last semester when things came to a head.

I feel better than ever now, not as in head in the clouds, but more normal.

Glad the car won't cost you. Hope you feel better soon, look forward to your list.

I hate the WASZ set up too, which is why I asked for a 360 controller for Christmas.

So ready to do Bad!

Quick Hits: Grammy Thoughts & Music Pick Ups

I wish I could go cheer Leroux by going to the game and saying SIIIIIIDNEEEEEEEY LLEEEEEEEEEROOOOOOOOOUUUUUUX!!! I'd pronounce it Leroy, though. I forgot Feb 14 = Valentine's. That's when all my DJ's stuff is due for the first quarter of the semester.

I'm not the biggest fan of Blurred Lines (I have seen the unrated vid, but nothing I haven't seen). I'll admit it's catchy, but eh. My ex gf and Todd in the Shadows have described the lyrics as "rapey." I guess I could see that, but never paid attention. I too thought Chicago/Thicke was a hellish match, but I definitely prefer Thicke's crooner voice, and I dig Chicago. In fact, just have Chicago with him whenever he does Blurred Lines, and I'll like it. His voice changes to something much better when he's dealing with horn sections etc. instead of PC productions.

It's funny how Macklemore is so mainstream given his path to success (I laughed that they played music when he mentioned they had no label). I think the Instagram pic was an odd choice, though. just give Lamar your award if you feel that way, you have enough others. I hope he's not back on cough syrup again.

Honestly though, Kendrick Lamar won best performance at the Grammys as far as I'm concerned. That set w Imagine Dragons was amazing.

Surprised you didn't mention it unless I missed it, it was my DJs and my favorite moment of the night.

I had no problem with Daft Punk winning Best Album. Different strokes.

I'm glad you agree about Metallica. lol Todd in the Shadows said in his Grammys review that he doubted Metallica would ever team w a symphony, and several comments corrected him.

I like the piano duet as well. I also liked Ringo and Paul together. I really liked Pink's acrobatics, I actually never saw her do that. Apparently she does it a lot. Again, didn't know.

I like JT's music, but some of it was too long. Granted, I know "Suit and Tie" and one other, so I dunno.

Yeah, Todd in Shadows mentioned Grammys seem to just pick winners based on people they recognize. I agree that's what happened with that McCartney/Ghrol et al. song.

I liked Kacey Musgraves' "Follow Your Arrow," I had only randomly found on Youtube once prior. Felt bad for her having to follow the Lamar Dragons, though. I think there's a local high school Lamar Dragons team ...

I might listen to Porter.

Good news: Someone took video of the whole QotSA et al. performance. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T550M4V5ebc

I still don't respect the Grammys the way I do the Oscars as far as awards, but as a show, I thought it was pretty good this year. I'll come back for other half of your blog later.

Honestly, they have everyone I remember from GGX2, so I wouldn't be mad at that being the final roster.

Thank you for alerting me! Not sure I'd have checked my AOL for that e-mail about the sale otherwise.
