I notced Lan support for co-op without internet, but I don't think there's split-screen play. You can also make it kind of like multiplayer by leaving the game open to strangers and putting friendly fire on. I wanted to do that once just for fun. No one popped in though.

For some reason I never considered playing the game back then. Not sure why since I was playing a lot of shooters.
