I actually kind of like that polygonal look, for no other reason than nostalgia. But I agree about the toast thing, only I prefer sausage with my eggs.
I don't think it would be for me. I have a hard time getting through LOTR honestly, though last time I picked up Fellowship again, it did seem a lot more fun to read than I remembered. I want to read the LOTR trilogy eventually, but it's just a lot.
