I've played a few of the Fatal Frame games.  The first couple on the PS2 are a bit slow and clunky.  I liked the 3DS one.  Nintendo published it and gave it a different name (Spirit Camera), but it's a Fatal Frame game.  It's also more or less a 3DS tech demo, but I still liked it anyway.  The new game, Maiden of Black Water (actually it's not that new since it first came out on the Wii U), is fine, but the levels are a bit too long and the game uses all the buttons so I forget the controls sometimes and it's a bit repetitive.  But otherwise not too bad.

The map in that monster game makes it look kind of Metroid-ish, too.

I'm playing a scary game right now, too!  Well, it's not THAT scary, but it's about ghosts and I like ghosts.  I'm working on reviewing Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water!

Congrats on the upgrade.  I haven't gotten a Xbox One or X/S yet because there just aren't enough games on it to interest me and make me want to buy one.  i've got plenty to play on my PS4 and Switch anyway.

I had Jetpac Refueled a LONG time ago on my Xbox 360.  It was one of the first games I downloaded for it actually.  I played the orignal Jetpac when it was on Donkey Kong 64!

I think I can still remember the games I picked as my GOTY for the first decade of the 2000s.  I'd recommend these games if you can play them.

2000: The Misadventures of Tron Bonne (PSOne)

2002: Animal Crossing (GameCube)

2003: WarioWare: Mega Microgame$ (GBA) This was also the year I started writing for GamerDad.com

2004: Katamari Damacy (PS2)

2005: Psychonauts (PS2)

2006: Okami (PS2)

2007: Super Mario Galaxy (Wii) I would've given it to Portal had I played it that year.

2008: Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii)

2009: Klonoa (Wii)

And those are my GOTY titles for that decade.

I didn't like this movie that much, but then, I'm not a big Sonic fan anyway.  I liked who showed up in the ending, though!  The Sonic movie was the last movie I saw in a theater before the pandemic hit, and I didn't see another movie in a theater until my recent viewing of Ghostbusters: Afterlife.

Renegade seemed to be pretty popular when I was a kid.  I saw it in a few arcades anyway.  I was never a big fan of it, but I love the history behind it and how it ties into Kunio and Double Dragon.  And aside from River City Ransom, if we didn't have Renegade, we also wouldn't have had Super Dodge Ball.  That was my all-time favorite sports game all the way up until when Wii Sports came along.

I miss going to video game stores like that.  A long time ago, on the way to Austin for a concert, my friend and I stopped at a retro game store that was pretty cool.

Sorry you didn't get the job.  Hope something comes through soon.  Even though I have a job now, I'm working on finding a new one so I can make more money.  I don't see how people live these days!

I'm not a fan of Mortal Kombat so I won't be watching this one.  I will say that I did watch the very first MK movie from the 90's and for a video game movie from that time, it really wasn't THAT bad.  But that's about all I can say about Mortal Kombat.  I mean, I picked my three favorite characters by what color they wear.  And since my favorite color is green, my favorite MK characters are Reptile, Sonya Blade, and Jade.
