Yeah, I'll be honest, Snee, there's a few things you like in electronic music I have a similar reaction to. lol Radiohead comes to mind.
To each thier own though, there is something for everyone.
Though I don't like RTS, I feel your pain in disagreeing with reviewers about things. Though my tastes usually fall in line with the review aggregate sites for the most part, there's always the one or two where I say "oh come on, that wasn't so bad," or "that was amazing and you're all wrong!" or "that was terrible, stop sucking the production company off with your reviews."
Just tell your friends to always remember that the scores don't really matter to you as a consumer, so much as why they are what they are.
Roger Ebert didn't like Kick-Ass because of Hit Girl and its offensiveness, I loved it because of Hit Girl and its offensiveness.
Reviewers are people too, and different things bother them than what bothers you; always at least skim the text when using reviews to help your decision.
Of course, it's also possible that a lot of these sites are short-staffed, and the game was reviewed by people like me that don't like the genre, anyway. Unprofessional, but it happens.
Whenever my facebook was "hacked," it was just fellow staffers posting vulgar statements about me when I forgot I was logged in and they took advantage. lol

I really don't remember much of what they did after this game, I just remember thinking they were awesome for making it.
Silent Hill series seems to be a lot of people's favorites.

Well, to be fair, I still need to beat the final level in a few, but not most, so it's not completely complete. lol
I completely skipped over this gen, and it depends on just how steady my job can become whether I adopt any this upcoming one.
What was the Earthbound song? I only rented it once as a kid and hated it (didn't like JRPGs, couldn't figure out where to go).
I was never a fan of DBZ, always came in on the hype episodes (our neighbors would always watch it, whereas the house I've lived in never had cable until my late high school years), but if it has crazy Kojima stuff going on, I'd probably like it.

As far as the Adventure titles though, Eggman's theme from 2 was my favorite. So much damn good cheese!
And I can see why people like the time mechanic, but for me it made side quests tedious, and I never finished it, cause I kept messing up what Prima was telling me to do to get one of them. I only know what Ultimate Link looks like cause of that same strat guide; this day, my save file is right before the end boss, but I don't have all the masks yet.
Erectile Dysfunction certainly does mess with your head, I recommend it!
