Doom makes sense, I think I may have been a bit creeped out when I played an N64 version. I think I thought it was more "cool" than scary but that was a long time ago.

Oh yeah, Fatal Frame seemed like an awesome concept for a game to me, but I don't think any Sony consoles were left in the house when it came out.
I've heard of FEAR and seen footage here and there, I think, but never really played it. PC games, right? Or were they on consoles as well. I have a Dell D620, so I can't really play most newer PC titles lol.
And The Ring is my favorite horror film, and it was inspired by/based on the Japanese film, so I have to agree there.
Especially in games, jump scares get old quick.
Conception: Please Have My Children? Interesting. lol Not judging though, I'm intrigued by that title myself.
Well, hey, cheap and enjoyed. Win, win! lol
No problem on no comments, it's hard to keep up right now, with the current layout, and work's more important.
Look forward to your old and new reviews, and digging that tag.
I'm the same way, I don't trust DL unless it's something free or that I wouldn't be so upset about losing (like my $5 Sonic CD on my Android), but I prefer physical stuff.
But think about it: CDs and DVDs are still around, and those physical mediums still sell, often well, even today, and in music's case, vinyl has made somewhat of a comeback in the market.
I think physical mediums are safe, and will be alongside downloads. At least, that's how I see it, and what I hope for.
Also, like Tami said, I don't think you'll need to learn/re-learn HTML to add the stuff you're talking about. lol
I did have a Game Boy, but used it for Tetris, Solar Strike, and Pokemon Blue, especially.
It's funny you mention continuity, I wouldn't mind a Metroid book similar to that new Zelda one that has cool art and explains continuity.
I really hope everyone is wrong about digital becoming the primary way of downloading games, and I have confidence they ARE wrong that it become the ONLY method, considering CDs/DVDs do still sell in the face of downloads, and I see games following that trend.
Great article, can't say I do or don't care about PS4, cause I wait until the price cuts for technoology, but I'm interested in where we go from here.
I understand not wanting to play horror games out in the dark with coyotes. lol
I did watch several movies, like Shining and Exorcist in the dark, alone, but I'm not superstitious and don't spook easy ... until of course the movie ends, and then I suddenly feel like things are creeping up behind me. lol
