Professor Laytoncy

I know what you mean. Sometimes though I feel like a game takes me so out of the social arena, and into my own little world, that I feel I'm ignoring them too much. I don't want to be insensitive to them.

I was trying to think if I could play Professor Layton with the sound off, so that I could respond to any talk that might come up. I think the Layton games just have music and no voice work, so it might be ok.

That's cool. If I ever start my own family. It's going to be game central.

Yea, puzzle games really make me anxious, like I was taking a test or something. But I tried Unwound Future and got hooked. If you can't figure out a puzzle, you can get a hints from the game until you figure it out. You just can't get stuck in a Professor Layton game which is a big relief for me.

To be real. I've never really gotten grief from family members for gaming, but at the same time, I've been very careful to hide my game playing from them. I really wish one of them was a gamer because I can talk all day on the subject. My sister's family out in Ohio, seems to be more open to games. I actually think I may end up playing some Xbox with them when I get there.

That's a good responce. "Well, should I take up drinking instead?" I'll say.

I'm kinda not being too fair to them really. My bro-in-law used to play NBA Jam and his brother still has an arcade cabinet at his house.

At Easter, my Mom actually asked me about interesting games she could play. I mentioned Professor Layton, but she doesn't have a DS. I was trying to think of PC games that are casual but smart. She's was a biochem teacher by trade, so some kind of tricky puzzle game might be her thing. I could only think of sites like PopCap. I haven't played much on the PC for a while.

You're right. I am. It's the kind of thinking I get into sometimes late at night. I guess I'm just not all that comfortable with my family, strange as that sounds.

I used to go to Gamestop a least once a week. Now it's once a month. I like to browse and they just won't leave me alone.

Good point. Waiting can be bad.

He's a gonzo journalist! I often think of what that means exactly. I kinda want to be one too.

Another book about biker gangs on my list that came out this year is Charles Falco's Vagos, Mongols, and Outlaws. It's about the darker side to these gangs and his infiltration of them to solve a murder.

So I decided I wanted to do some renovations....

I have dreams of designing a cool game room. Shelving where you can see everything for easy access is key. Good job.
