I liked my SNES Classic Edition so much I named it my Game of the Year in 2017!

I got Yoshi's Crafted World, too.  It's so adorable.  I think I still like Yoshi's Woolly World better, but Crafted World is still a lot of fun.

I love Super Princess Peach!  I wish it got more recognition than it did.  It was made by TOSE, who also did the Starfy games.  TOSE also programmed a BUNCH of other games behind the scenes.  You should check out a list of everything they've done.  It's pretty amazing.

As a Ridge Racer fan, I was kind of curious about Unbounded, but I heard it's not anything like the regular Ridge Racer games, just the name is the same.

Yeah it'll power you up with sugar!  Most cereals anymore just aren't very good for you.

Everyone seems to really like Solaris.  Sounds like someone is sitting on a gold mine.

I would love it if Activision would just port the Activision Anthology to modern consoles.  Especially since the last ones it was on were the PS2 and PSP (the GBA had a version, too).  It's such a good collection.

I'm pretty sure Iwata did all the classic arcade games that HAL released on NES, since he used those games to convince Nintendo to let HAL work for them.  So yeah, he did Millipede, Joust, and Defender 2.  I still like Joust better than Balloon Fight, though.  Sorry Iwata.

I got a press release for the EDF game but I probably won't review it.  Too many other games to play right now.

The Konami collections look neat.  Wish they had physical releases.  And why no Gyruss?  I'll have to see if I have a PR contact for Konami so I can try to review it.

Right now I'm playing Yoshi's Crafted World.  It's very fun, but I think I liked Yoshi's Woolly World a little more.

Before the N64 I was pretty much strictly a Nintendo customer, as I never got into the Genesis or Master System.  So I was pretty excited for the N64.  And I really did enjoy it a lot, especially games like Mario 64, Zelda, Banjo-Kazooie and its sequel, DK64, and many more.  

However, a year after the N64 came out, their big holiday title was Diddy Kong Racing.  And as much as I like Diddy Kong Racing, at the time I felt that wasn't going to cut it and I needed another gaming system.  Plus I was reviewing games at The Dallas Morning News at the time, and the N64 wasn't providing enough games for me to review, especially since I was getting paid for it then.  So even though I was a poor college student and really couldn't afford it, that next Spring I got a PlayStation.  That ended up being one of the best gaming purchases I ever made, as I was reviewing games left and right for it after that.  It also ended up being one of my favorite game consoles, with titles such as Tron Bonne, Puzzle Fighter, Brave Fencer Musashi, Namco Museums, Tail Concerto, Ridge Racer Type 4, and many, many more.

So yeah, while I did like my N64 a lot, it really was the first console that made me want another competitor's console.

I learned how to play Chess via Battle Chess, so I could see all the animations.

The other thing that Battle Chess taught me is that I don't like Chess.
