Life is Strange, you say. That is on the cheaper end of this list, and I could dig a more relaxing game revolving around photography.

Deus Ex I'll have to go back and look at prices. Because I bought Witcher 3 and Bloodborne for $30-$40 each purely on hype and haven't really played much of either, I don't really do that any more for games I wasn't already excited about myself ( the hype being other peoples'). $30 for Rise of the Tom Raider was 100% worth it well after hype died down cause I knew I'D like it.

I actually already own Shovel Knight on Steam and loved it even with a 360 joystick. I'm just itching to play it with a PS4 dpad.

Yeah, the urge to type gamefly.com/doubletoasted into a search bar rises every time I see how many games I bought for $5 I marathoned in a weekend.

My thoughts exactly. But I do have a decent pile of green and no kids. Maybe I'll buy stock instead ...

This year's PAX or earlier? I'm wondering how much content they added through DLC as planned.

Mine get a higher ranking every generation, yours get lower. Interesting pattern. Do you think you enjoyed games more in the past or now?

You make a compelling argument. And honestly, I'm planning on NOT buying any of these unless someone makes a REALLY damn good case for one of them.

Now that's true. Part of how I worked myself into a depression last year was I thought about whether I was a good enough teacher ALL THE TIME. I had to stop. I still care, but I allow myself not to think about it unless I absolutely have to work on something. 

I dunno, if it's forced, are you really going to enjoy it? There are some games I force myself to complete 100% and at about the 65% mark, I start thinking "oh, just END already!"
