Sorry for your loss. Take care.
So not all Origins levels are in Legends? Huh, I thought you could unlock all of the Origins levels. There didn't seem to be many more paintings than in the main Legends game. Oh well, still tons of content.
I'm still waiting for Shovel Knight to go on sale so I can buy the PS4 version. I played through on Steam with a 360 controller, but I bet the PS4 d-pad feels amazing with that game. I was kinda pissed Strider used the joysticks to move on PS4 to be honest.
I feel your pain. It took me forever to get around to downloading a good portion of my CDs onto my iPod Nano and when I finally did, the process took forever.
I really do need to listen to more Splender and see if I like their other stuff as much.
If you can believe it, I have never downloaded a single song illegally. There was a period of maybe a month or two where I emulated games, but then stopped and went back to just using questionable websites and streaming services for games and TV shows I didn't have access to. Now I'm back to being 100% on the up and up. But music? I have a digital-only library consisting of songs I can count on my fingers, a few freebies, and the rest is CDs that may or may not have made it to my iPod Nano (which I only have cause my mom won some contest while I was in high school). All of it was obtained legally. Probably not something that should be a badge of honor, but given that illegal downloading has become more or less mainstream, I'm oddly proud of it.
I wish I could say I still shared your enthusiasm for always having physical copies of things, but the PS Store and Steam have blown a hole in my integrity there. The prices and convenience are just too shiny when I see a sale. I still buy major games on Blu Ray, and I'll be getting Horizon: Zero Dawn in physical form, but I've caved to buying things like Withcer III and Rise of the Tomb Raider digitally.
One thing that's softened me is the though that if I have to install/reinstall a game to play it even if I have the disc, do I necessarily 100% own the game just because I bought the physical copy, or is there still a bit of "you're f*ed if this network ever goes down" inherent to both options now?
I know. I may have been born in 1990, but thanks to an older brother I played NES and SNES. In those cases though, the games felt longer because of the difficulty, even though they had less content. I don't like how hard Metroid is, but I would have liked more content in Zero Mission still. It's an awesome game as it is though, I'm just being difficult. Pun intended?
I just like how easy headshots are in both games, so I use the bow sneakily to save ammo. Half the time, I'm completely ignoring the main story so I can find the knick knacks and optional tombs.
And you still saved $10 more than me, so it's not like you got robbed comparatively. I love the manor being in there (maybe it is in the base copy? just not the Blood Ties story or Expedition mode? long shot), but if I had the option I'd have saved the $10 for just the main game.
I remember liking Darkwing Duck and its theme song, but not much else about it. I've played the 8-bit Mega Man-style game and it was impressive for an NES title. I think it came out late in the system's life.
Correct. BaD tradition is M-F, though several people (myself included) have sometimes opted to include weekends.
I never watched Chuck, but I hear it was a good show.
I'm playing through Rise on PS4 now. So far, it feels like the 2013 reboot slightly prettied up (the reboot was already gorgeous, so that's not to knock it) and with a lot more content. I'm surprised by how many guns you start out with and there seem to be a lot more upgrades.
I'm also digging the Manor and Expedition extras in the 20th Anniversary Edition. For $30, this was a steal.
My only problem with this game was how short it was.
The original Metroid felt bigger. Then again, that's probably because you couldn't see the map and it was way harder to get everywhere, especially with enemies that can pass through doors with you.
