Album review: Liars

Interesting. Never heard of them before. This isn't stuff I'd listen to on a regular basis, but they have a good sound and I can't say I disagree with your review.

I could do without the rainbow string pubes, but there's a good beat and melody, so I'm down with the sound ... Mr. Brown ... d.

See, you didn't say that, that's an interesting thing to talk about. lol My friend Wes is a big Kierkegard fan. He's also a Buddhist. I assume I like Taoism, but I need to read more about it. lol

Well, if you haven't paid to see The Conjuring, you've been managing your money somehow, so don't get discouraged. lol

I liked it more than most horror films. I'm not really a horror fan, but I like the slow burners that also work as dramas. It reminded me of The Exorcist in many ways.

They improved on the book, which is my least favorite of the book trilogy, so I was impressed. I didn't mind the ending. I was expecting it in both the book and movie. In fact, that was one of my favorite parts.

It's aboboisdaman that only wanted to see it for Amy Adams. She is hot in the movie, but there's a lot more going on. I loved the twisty-turns it took, and I was endeared to the crooked politician most of all. Go figure.

Oh God, I hated  Warrior Within with a fiery passion when I rented it. I thought they watered down the art style to look more like Mortal Kombat, which matched the "gritty" new characters that replaced the likeable people and Disney-like cinematic nature of the first glorious entry ... but then those "dark" sequels did A LOT better financially, so I'm in the minority there. I'm glad you enjoyed it, even if I didn't. Had I not played the first, I probably would have liked it too to be honest, it wasn't bad I just hated the changes they made.

As for Travers, I disagree about the portrayal. She rolls her eyes a couple times, but I agree with Nostalgia Critic, they were definitely trying to portray it as if she enjoyed it overall, especially once she started crying and pretending she was bothered by something else. I'd like to hear that interview though, I'm a lot more interested in Travers and Poppins than I ever was before I saw Banks. I might actually watch Poppins  the whole way through soon, which I never have.

I've gotten lazy with blogs due to a busy March as well.

I'd love to go to Amsterdam.

I saw Saving Mr. Banks on accident the other day and really enjoyed it. Two historical innacuracies: it was a song about an old lady feeding birds, not "Let's Go Fly A Kite" that endeared Travers to the idea of a musical, and Travers hated the film when she saw it at the premiere.

I need to get around to Hotline Miami and my GTA: Complete Pack. I hope you'll love PoP as much as I did when I played it on GCN when it first released.

Team Fortress 2 looks fun. I saw a few Game Grumps Animated with those models last night.

Any JRPG aside from Pokemon, Final Fantasy X, Golden Sun or Paper Mario. Technically, I also watched my friend play Super Mario RPG and rented Earthbound once, as I did with FFX, but I never got very far past the first screen.

I envy people who genuinely enjoy JRPGs, because aside from the turn-based battle system and random encounters, which I tend to find annoying, they seem to have a lot going for them. Of course, I genuinely enjoyed Paper Mario and Pokemon to some degree, though I never completed either; only ever played Blue as a kid; and think I might like Stick of Truth for many of the same reasons I liked Paper Mario

I have never played any Starcraft or Civilization games because I suck at RTS.

I want to get to a Punch Out! game, but just never come across any for some reason.

Finally, a lot of things people raved about last gen I have yet to play, due to not having a 360, PS3, or Wii, or any handhelds past the DS, but I'm slowly making up for that with Steam games on this new laptop I bought last summer. It's an ASUS K55N-DB81 and runs games more smoothly than expected.

Yeah, I think that's why most of my girlfriends have been older. The 19 year old was and still is mature for her age.

I don't know that I've ever skewed young enough to have the same problem, but I've overheard conversations involving girls I was attracted to at first and thought "hot, but not at all worth it."

It's so ... BaD! (Strong, Hate-Filled Language)

Look up Winter Olympics 2014, or Crimea, which is more recent, and I'm sure you'll find some reference to why Putin's an asshole.
