Yeah, I can see how "quirky" indie titles might not be the most appealing things in the world, when you want more AAA big-budget titles.
Yeah, some things are just more fun with a community. And I've never tried an MMO, that would be the main draw for me.

I don't know how many all-nighters I've pulled, and don't remember using literally half a day, but those Zelda games got finished in like a week somehow.

New, but keep in mind, I usually only owned Nintendo consoles and very rarely bought games at all; it was a very special treat to buy a game, so that's why I'm used to buying new. If I bought as many games as a lot of you, I would probably utilize used purchases quite a bit more often. In fact, since I now have a decent enough laptop, I'm pretty much waiting for a Steam winter sale.
