Offbeat Thursday! Just something to do!

Posted on 07/11/2013 at 04:37 PM | Filed Under Blogs

I can understand stir crazy, so relieved to be called into work three days this week and do something useful that wasn't around the house. I'm a BOH kind of guy as well, I like to just work, but somehow I got used to dealing with plenty of people in my three years at Outback and three in Residence Life.

Didn't know Serj was doing classical now. I think I heard that before, but thought it was a joke, but it's really good! Dug the Ghost B.C. track as well, nice alternative feel, and the Phil Anselmo one was heavy, reminded me a bit of some Great Southern Trendkill tracks.

Well, I also mean SNES, I grew up with that too, but they're kind of the same thing and 64 was an improvement, especially graphically, so I see your point. It is a bit sad that's probably the only game in the franchise everyone immediately recognizes, but then again, that was the game I got for Christmas '97 with my N64; I love it.

As for their plans, that depends how SF has been selling, market research, yada yada, and I honestly doubt they'll go back to the Roots, when Star Fox was about following a black family through different periods of American history, so I probably wouldn't be sarisfied with the "mix of gameplay styles" style of gameplay they'd likely go with anyway.

I need to listen to this. I didn't even know Julian Casablancas was on it; I do like Strokes.

I also like Daft Punk, but not necessarily everything they do, mostly their big hits is what I know and love. I should check it out though, it's been buzzed about like the second coming of musical Moses.

Lol Spoony riffed this live when I was at SGC 2013 a few weeks ago. I was dead tired and sort of drifted off at the end, but this I remember. Well, actually I don't remember what he said, but I was there when he riffed it. I don't know why the Sega guy has a Candadian/northern U.S. accent, though.

I would love a new on-rails Star Fox. I actually liked Adventure and I own a used copy of Assault as a birthday present, and that's a decent game too, but I'd want the series to just go back to its roots with some new polish.

Love that track; game sounds like a cool concept. I think my computer could run it, but I'm reluctant to buy something in case it can't. It's pretty old.

So this is what I did last weekend

Nice! Glad they all got saved.

My work day was spent building children's playsets for around eleven hours straight. lol

Two disowned pieces of Pac-Man history, or, when licensing deals go awry

I didn't realize there was a Pac-Man related pinball game. This pleases me. Too bad it's rare; or too good it's rare? Maybe I can upsell one I buy ... hmmm ... but where would I get the money for initial purchase?

Workout Music Suggestions *Non Gaming*

I actually really love using embarassing pop music when I do cardio, too. Upbeat and fast rythm.

Otherwise, my Bad Religion - All Ages CD is my jam on the treadmill.

I don't really listen to music when lifting weights, though. It's mainly cause I have a bad back and have to really focus on form. Not that good posture isn't important when running, I just have to pay more attention squatting or something (which I haven't done in a while ... I lost weight, but now I'm skinnier than I'd like, need to go back).

But I also reccomend a calorie diet. Easy to keep track of and arguably helps more than gym when losing weight (though combo is obviously best); you're awesome fat or not, but I know the feeling, and wish you best of luck!

Thank you.

You're welcome and thank you for giving me stuff to click on after a long day at work.
