The monster battles were pretty awesome in this new Godzilla. I think they made an attempt to give it some of the look of the old film. The way the buildings crumbled made me think of it.
Man, between the music and art style, I could watch gameplay of Spate for a very long time. The music makes me think of The Kronos Quartet, or Bioshock's soundtrack by Gary Schyman. I love the small ensemble sound. It feels really intimate and personal.
The social thing is something. I really only have one friend who I game with regularly and if he got one of the new systems, I'd have to go get one too. Luckily, I don't have to worry about that too much because I'm usually the first one to go next gen anyway.
Looks like they're trying to keep their pro players on one game only so they don't lose viewers to other games. I guess if the pro gaming scene is really serious, and there's money at stake, then I can see Riot's point, but if not, it's just going to hurt their image and alienate gamers.
Did you see Tom Magrino of GamesRadar is going to work for Riot? I heard about it on their podcast today. He was fun to listen to. Too bad he's leaving.
I only got into match three games when Puzzle Quest and Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix came out. I like my puzzle games mixed with other gameplay elements.
This is only the first hour of a whole day I had to break into four parts. There's 38 games on TL2. I ripped through them all by 5:00.
What I used to love about the old Japanese monster movies was the models and sets they used for the humans in the suits. I used to build models as a kid and it's really amazing what they did before CG. Now it's less impressive because I know they did it all in a computer.

Legend of Kage was just weird. The character seemed to jump all by himself.
Looks dark. With some good combat controls, it could be really interesting.
