Maybe I'm just completely oblivious, but I didn't even notice any graphical issues. Sure the characters are blocky, but I haven't come to expect anything different from a Wii game. Honestly, all that stuff is going on in the background so I really don't even notice it, just the note highway.
The way Stanton has talked to me about this game makes me really interested in playing it. Given that the story and presentation are good enough, I can definitely forgive some shortcomings in gameplay.
Once I get out from under my massive pile of review copies, I'll have to give this one a go.
Seems pretty damn generic from this video. Guess we'll see what the story is when gameplay is shown.
Argh, I already own the SNES version of this game, but knowing it's going to be a limited run, I need to buy it.

Well if that were the case, the game should've done a better job demonstrating that. You describe the game as if it creates a sense of immersion, however after hours upon hours of playtime, I saw no such thing.
If the "real" gameplay was between the lines of what I saw, or the culmination of it, it was still unbelievably boring.
If anyone read this earlier in complete confusion as to why there was duplicate wording all over the place, it was a by-product of copy-pasting the review from Word into the site's editor. The tracked changes got copied along with the original text, all of which showed up here.

Much to my surprise, you can actually catch Mew in Pokemon Red and Blue. Like Chris described in the story, there were a million ridiculous tactics to supposedly catch the elusive pokemon, but all of them were a farce.
Back in 2003, someone came up with a way to force an encounter with a Level 7 Mew. It has some crazy set of in-game moves to essentially get some hex values in line to trigger the encounter. I don't know how someone could've possibly figured this out, but it seems legit to me.
