There are lots of Belgian beers at my deli. I'll have to try one. I'm not a big beer drinker though. I drink like one or two a week at most. I also try and pick one with a theme that matches the game I'm playing, but last few weeks I just stuck to the German one since I liked it.

In the longer blog at VGJunk he mentions it is a lance with a chain attachment but in looking at the game, I don't see any lance. It looks more like a flail which in DnD is normally used by a cleric since they can't use edged weapons. Shouldn't a knight have a giant sword instead? I'm not complaining though. A flail is BAD ASS.
I began to suspect when you said you married a female power lifter who owned a bait and tackle shop and had twins. That's such a video game story. And, oh man, I was so excited for Streets of Craze 2 1/2. If I had the power, I would get you that position at SEGA. I want to see all those games you mentioned.
Yea, the game has actual voice work. I listened to it again in that video above and the voices are hilarious. The Dwarf's voice makes me giggle.
I'm about to play through Taito Legends 2 once I finish Paper Mario Thousand Year Door. I can't wait to try Dungeon Magic.
Yea, this would be HOT on 3DS or Vita with a good makeover.
I only found out about how the magic works in the game while writing the blog. Now I have to go back and try out all the spells for all the characters.
I couldn't find Gate of Doom on any collection or virtual console, but maybe it can be had on PC somehow.

Yea, Valiant Hearts: The Great War. Last I saw it had a December release date attached to it. I was hoping it would come out sooner than that. That's my number one most anticipated game for 2014 but it may not hit 'til 2015. Sucks.
