Hallmark's Pac-Man Cab Aquired

You know, I know a lot about arcade cabinets, owning some and being to arcade auctions and all.  And as far as I know, 'marquee' and 'side art' are the correct terms for those things.

All I Need Is This Knife - Rush 'N Attack

I never liked this game.  Even as kids my friend and I thought it was dumb that one guy was going to take on an entire army with just a knife.  We rented this game once on the NES and made it to the second level once.  The Pizza Inn near my house also had the arcade version for a short while.

In other parts of the world, this game is known as Green Beret.  For a while, Konami would call it part of the Contra series, which I don't understand since it's nothing like Contra.  But they also put Scramble as part of the Gradius series even though those two games are barely alike.

One neat thing about Christmas at Disney World is that they have stands everywhere where you can get a Christmas cookie and munch on it as you walk around the park.

I loved watching my brother play Dead Rising.  I would make him play through the whole game with a Servebot mask on his head (those were the big yellow LEGO man looking things).

You know what's really awesome is Disney World at Christmas.  It can get really crowded, though.

Yeah I know about that "You almost became a Jill Sandwich" quote even though I've never played a Resident Evil game either.  In the first Dead Rising game, one of the restaurants at the food court in the mall is called "Jill's Sandwiches!"

My 1980s Gaming: 1982

I played all those arcade games you mentioned back then except I don't remember Front Line as a kid (I did play it later on the collections).  It's weird that I don't remember that one, though, because my arcades usualy had every other Taito game out there at the time.

Retro Review: Illusion of Gaia

Posted on 09/14/2019 at 09:42 PM | Filed Under Blogs

Back when this came out, I wanted to get it but I was a poor college student at the time and coudn't afford it.  So I never got to play it and I hate that.  If they ever put it on the Nintendo Switch SNES online service thing, I'm totally going to play it.  That SNES addition has the potential to be very dangerous to me.

Illusion of Gaia is actually part of a triology that consists of SoulBlazer, Illusion of Gaia, and Terranigma.  I hate it that we never got the third game here in the US, especially since Europe got it.  I did have SoulBlazer, though.  Pretty good little action RPG game.

So to reply to your comments on the GamerDad site, you would like the Teppen game if you have a mobile device to play it on.  Morrigan's in the game, too. :)

I don't know for sure if the cars in the Hot Wheels game are based on real toys, but they did offer me a giveaway of some real Hot Wheels cars based on the game, so I think there might be.

Is that a Halloween float?  Back in 2014, I did go to Disney World in the fall and did all the Halloween stuff.  it was pretty neat.  I wrote reviews of it at GamerDad.com when I got back.

I like JIll Valentine, but I don't know why.  I'm used to calling her Jill Sandwich because of a silly quote from the game she's in.

I thought of you not only when I was playing River City Girls, but also when I was walking around the Square-Enix booth FF7 area.  Like the Cloud-cycle you can sit on and the replica of the Mako reactor.  As I was walking around that part, I almost expected Aeris to walk around the corner and try to sell me a flower.

I'm not a vegetarian, but I do like vegetables.  Meat just tastes too good for me to be a vegetarian.  In Seattle we actually ate at the same burger place twice.  The first day of PAX, after playing BurgerTime Party and sitting on burger chairs, we were hungry for burgers so we ate at this great burger place called 206 Burger Company, or something like that.  Then the last day of the show, we ate there again for lunch.  The first time we ate there, I just had a regular bacon cheeseburger.  The second time I got a salmon burger.

Thanks!  You know those little My Arcade mini cabinets?  I have one of BurgerTime.  :)

Oops, A Pac-Man Cab, But Not the Right One

It could possibly be Crazy Otto, the Ms. Pac-Man prototype.
