BaD 14: Day 14 Song 14

Posted on 02/20/2017 at 10:49 PM | Filed Under Blogs

I loved when i only had the radio in my room, we didn't have cable and i generally didn't have to know what bands looked like. I knew a few band names, but like you i just enjoyed songs.

I am digging the song today as well. Don't think I've ever heard it the whole way through, yet it sounds familiar. Not sure I've heard anything but the instrumental part that sounds like "oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh, oh oh oh oh oh oh."

I might have seen FF6 opening, but i have played none of those, though i am aware of them.

I miss magazine comics, from the stuff in Boy's Life, to this, to the comics that came at the end of EGM near the Seanbaby review.

I need to pick okamiden back up at some point. I got stuck somewhere.

Nba jam is more relevant because of today's holiday.

Always wanted to play no more heroes

I wouldn't mind as much if my roommate didn't have us on the lowest possible internet speed. Kinda kills it for me.

Also, i did not know that about QoS.

Btw i had a good chuckle at your funkoception comment on the telltale review.

BaD 2017.15: at the movies.

The audience and movie going experience made Lego Batman so much better than it could be at home. Our friend Jordan says why would she go to a movie when they have a giant 4k tv at home and i hate her a little bit each time she says that. I love movies. Luckily, my best friend does too.

I kinda want to see Great Wall because I loved Hero. The review I watched (Double Toasted, based in Austin and deserves way more love) said they went to a dark 3D SCREENING that muted the colors, so maybe I'll have better luck in 2D. THEY did say plot was lacking though and it didn't make sense that the enemy stopped attacking. Fell free to let me know if you disagree.

So I was listening to this while prepping a lesson for my social media intro course and the term "brand ambassador" stuck out, as it's something that's come up a lot lately. I may want to ask Patrick to Skype into my class even ... I'll have to listen to this again, since i was taking notes on a chapter on first listen.

Damn that Marcello!

Does Thwack have a 60s Batman text animation? Seems  like it should. I definitely wouldn't share my steak fingers with that Marcello guy. Dick.

Actually, this could replace Kingdom Hearts as it's both a cool intro video and one of my favorite theme songs:

Chrono Crossing 2001:

Super Smash Bros. Melee. I remember getting the achievement for playing for 100s of hours without trying. There are only three or so challeneges I never completed and I got most of the trophies in the game, I believe. It wasn't even based on multiplayer, I was just addicted to all the modes in single player.

Shout outs to:

SSX Tricky

Jak and Daxter: The Precursor

Metal Gear Solid 2 (holy crap, I totally forgot that was one of my favorite intros and theme songs)

Star Wars: Rogue Squadron

Dave Mira Freestyle BMX

Tony Hawk 3

GTA III (had to sneak playing that one)

Chrono Crossing 2000:

Ummm ... Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2. Really like the song "You" by Bad Religion.

If we counted the Spider-Man game that came out that year for PS1 ... then I played it quite a bit on N64 ...

Also, The World is Not Enough 007 is one I rented a couple times. Forget which system I played it on. Guessing N64 ...

GTA always looked cartoony to me, to be honest. I think they look bad now, sure, but I never thought they looked "realistic." I'm actually still playing through Vice City on PS4. Some things don't hold up, but it's still enjoyable.

I'm with Patrick though, I play for the story mainly. The shooting people up just bores me.

Some of the mechanics suck, but not nearly as much on a PS4 controller as when you're playing with a poorly mapped 360 controller on Steam.

Good Conan reference. I was a huge fan of his growing up.
