I'm not aware of my gaming skills until I play with someone not used to games. I remember playing some Halo: C.E. multiplayer with a friend of mine who hadn't any FPS experience. I thought playing games was just easy for anybody but I was abusing him so bad I had to use a control setting that scrambled all my button functions so we'd be on more equal footing. I was still better even with that. 

I've gotten wise to item placement in many games. In any particular environment, I can usually hone in on the "secret" spot where the item is. One is usually just to the left or right of you just after you enter through a door or entranceway. You get distracted by the passage to a new place and forget to look behind you just after you enter. Devs know this and so hide stuff there. I'm always checking those places and usually find stuff. 

I always think it's funny listening to developers talk about their games and how the players get so much better then them and find things they never thought of very quickly after release. This is why pro gamers have some value in the industry. You want someone to run your game through it's paces, try and break it, or find exploits? Call a hard core gamer. 

I used those strategy settings a lot when I played it last year. I usually want to control everyone but lately I've been playing with the automation in games like this. I thought it was fun to see how the characters would use their skills working on their own. I did have to switch my magic using character to "don't use magic" everytime I was around regular random foes. She'd use up all her MP before we even got to the boss. 

The pacing is very bad. It took so long to just get to the job system. I wanted to mess with that a lot too, but then I got stuck trying to find the solution to several islands and just gave up both through frustration and shear fatigue. 

I loved the story and all the characters though. So many bitter sweet stories on those islands. 

I wish everything would be backwards compatible, but I guess that's not happening. 

I've heard Condemned 2 is a bit different. I wish I could get to all these games. So many. 

It was neat to 100% Lego Star Wars. One hundred percenting anything is pretty rare for me. 

Every so often I pick up games with some weird plan that puts different stuff before my eyes. I was on a quick achievement game kick a while back and came across action/horror game Condemned: Criminal Origins, kids game Open Season, and boxing sim Fight Night Round 03, all of which were very fun, and games I probably never would have tried if I wasn't achievement hunting. Oh yeah, and this destruction derby game Mayhem 3D. That game was great. 

I listen to a lot of music on my iPod but I always remember going to a classical concert in college and feeling like it was a much better experience. Live music is so much more powerful. 

 I want to play A Boy and His Blob. If that Batman game is by Wayforward, I want to play that too. I have Battalion Wars 2. I can't remember if I played it or not, all I know is I want to revisit anything related to Advance Wars. I think it's by some, or all, of the same people. 

These 3DS remakes seem to be pretty good. I'll have to think again about playing Majora's Mask on 3DS. 

I'm in close talks with the guys at my Gamestop. If there's an extra one to be had, I'm in a good position to get one on release weekend. 

I want to rent Stardew Valley but the physical version doesn't come out until April.
