OutRun was a good game. Even my dad would plunk quarters tnto it in the arcade.
OutRun 2 or OutRun 2000 was a fantastic remake. I think it was even a better racing arcade game than Mario Kart Arcade GP, and that's a lot for me to say that.

I don't remember seeing Pooyan in arcades as a kid, but I know it was in the US because they showed it a lot on the 80s game show Starcade. Anyone remember that show? I used to watch it all the time as a kid.
I mostly played Pooyan on the Konami arcade collection that was on the PSOne.
While most people remember first playing Tetris on the Game Boy, I actually had already played it two years prior on the PC, so it wasn't as impactful for me. Still one of my favorite puzzle games, though, don't get me wrong.
On YouTube, somenoe who goes by The Video Game Historian made a fantastic video on the history of Tetris and the lengths people went to in acquiring the rights. It's pretty amazing, and I think they could make a whole movie about it. Check it out if you get a chance!
I dunno. I stick out like a sore thumb even at game conventions like E3 and PAX. I can't even fit in with gamers. Last year, when I was at E3 and people would ask what my favorite game of the show was, when I told them "Mega Man 11," they looked at me like I had three heads!
Nintendo made Link's Awakening just for me in mind. They're even releasing it five days after my birthday!
Psychonauts was my Game of the Year in 2005.
E3 is sort of open to the public now. They sell very limited public passes. I don't think E3 should be open to the public at all. That's what PAX is for.
Speaking of which, I just got my PAX West press approval! Yay! Now to request time off from work. That may prove to be more challenging!
One other update. So far, I'm not liking Cadence of Hyrule AT ALL! Way too hard. I'm just not 'getting' it I guess.
The Collection of Mana and Trials of Mana announcements were some of my favorite things from E3. Right after I heard about those announcements, I immediately emailed my Square PR contact and requested a review code for Collection of Mana. Not sure I'll get it, but I had to try anyway! I did some research and found out there is going to be a physical copy of the collection, but it doesn't come out until the end of August. But I reserved it just in case. It's the same price as digital, so even though I want to play the third game NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW, I'll just be patient and wait.
Am I weird for being more interested in Link's Awakening than this?
This year's Nintendo E3 Direct was so jam packed full of stuff I'm definitely going to be writing a blog about it. Expect it in the next couple of days.
I'm looking forward to Nintendo's showings tomorrow. Hope Animal Crossing doesn't get delayed. Not sure if I'll write an E3 blog or not. I do have some notes jotted down for one, so maybe I will. Right now I'm probably the only one who is excited for an announced game from XSEED: Burgertime Party.
