I didn't know that. It did feel like there ought to have been a follow-up, though. And I remember there being a ton of new copies selling for around $10 when I finally got a PS1 after the PS2 came out.

My significant other would laugh at me - I'd be in the middle of a boss fight and I'd be yelling "Just f'ing die, already!" I think the absolute worst boss that wasn't optional was the Grand Jewel.
