I've heard that Xevious history. I wish they'd continued the series and did some story based gameplay. There was that Xevious 3D game I've always wanted to play. I think it was on PS1.
Spy Hunter wanted to be a James Bond game but couldn't get the license, I believe. Peter Gunn is a good second choice.
How'd it play on NES? Every version I've played has been terrible.

The blood thing always seems to do it. Have a little blood and it's instantly "M" rated. Unless it's purple or chartreuse.
I think it's funny. My friend Mark is always unhappy when he's not Master Chief. I thought it was neat to be the Arbiter. There's that moment you first control him and the light sword appears in your hand. Frickin' cool!

Halo C.E. is the only Halo I can get my friend Mark to play with me all the way through. We always start 2 but never finish it for one reason or another. I mean, we finished it together once when it first came out, but that was it. Halo C.E. though. Anytime we start it, we finish it.
I still don't know why Reach hasn't been given the Anniversary treatment. Oh wait, it's ten year isn't 'til 2020. Halo 3 should have one this year, but it's seems it won't happen. Still, Halo Reach should at least have a current gen version to go with The Master Chief Collection.
I keep trying to remember how much I spent at the arcade on a typical weekend in my teens. I think it was 5 or 10 dollars. Maybe not 10. That seems like a lot. 5 sounds right though. That's 20 plays or 5 plays of Dragon's Lair, which was one of the first $1 games.
I can't think of another game who's story has really stuck with me like Halo's. I mean, it's a scifi story, not crazy deep and all, but it conjures up all those novels I read in high school. Also, it's a positive tale of heroism and victory over impossible odds. That's always uplifting.
