Kotaku gave 7th Dragon III a great review.  I think Mothman said he's going to buy it, but I might wait for a price decrease cause I'd kind of rather buy Grand Kingdom for the Vita. Don't know yet.  http://kotaku.com/7th-dragon-iii-code-vfd-the-kotaku-review-1783454790

I actually wanted to catch the preorder with the art book but since it drops tomorrow I guess I'm out of luck.

the character designs are pretty neat.

I finished the demo. It's a Etrian Odyssey lite. More accessible and streamlined. I think I prefer something more challenging though. But I like the futuristic scifi theme. I'd play it.

I found the classes and abilities interesting, and the combat snappy.  I don't know, haven't decided.

My review of Grand Kingdom will be up tomorrow night at GamerDad.com.  I ended up liking the game a lot more than what I thought I would.

The Etrian Odyssey comparison has me interested.

honestly, I don't see the similarity other than that they are both turnbased.

Me either. The demo did not mind me of EO in any way other than the turn based combat and even that's not quite the same.

I guess you could say the other similarity is you pick your squad according to what classes you want.

But that is not unique to EO. I can pick a mage, a monk an archer and a knight in almost any RPG.

I guess that's true.  :-)

I assumed first-person dungeons with that comparison. I guess it's not so?

oh, it's not first person....
