I played a little more Golf Story, but mostly on Saturday I was obsessed with Axiom Verge, getting up to and beating the second boss. I really haven't played a game like this in ages, where it requires hand eye coordination and quick reflexes, and I'm really enjoying it. Takes me back to my illustrious youth... sigh.  But seriously, I'm impressed. The sound and music is great, the mechanics are interesting, and the control is really polished and tight. 

I also downloaded the Battlefront Beta after I watched some of it on IGN, but I haven't played it yet. Mostly excited about the starship combat though. Looks like the FPS stuff is more refined and complex now too though. 

Sunday I watched football, didn't game much. 

And except for sunday, I've also been very productive in writing, including today. Im working on and serializing a new epic story I'm calling "The Void Crusade" (infuenced by Star Wars obviously) that marries high fantasy to hard sci-fi space opera shit. So there's dragons and magic and elves, but also cyborgs and faster than light travel and all that shit. I'm leaning towards the hard sci-fi space opera feel rather than an LOTR feel, so even while there are fantasy elements, it more feels like a dystopian space opera or vast complexity. Otherwise things are good. Waiting eagerly for Mario Odyssey!
