Early Spring Doldrums

Football is over, the Olympics are over, March Madness has yet to begin, the weather is nuts, and we've entered the early spring doldrums. But hey - videogames.  I've decided to go back to Final Fantasy XV and try to finish it, and while I haven't started yet, I downloaded the update to it yesterday and it was 20 gigs. Holy Moly. That better be some good shit.

My plan, which might be a bit ambitious, is to finish the game, and then buy the first new game I've bought in a while, Ni No Kuni 2 (which hopefully will have a better battle system than the first game).  I've been really trying not to buy games until I finish some. It ain't easy!

I've also wanted to catch up on my iPad gaming, so I cleaned up some space on mine and have been redownloading some games I have for that. I'd like to play a little San Andreas... I know it would seem insane to play that on a touch screen, but I have a bluetooth controller for my iPad for games like that and others.

I also bought Jade Empire which I haven't touched yet. Great game.

Anyway, I defeated my writer's block a couple weeks ago, and I have been writing a lot here. I feel glad to be productive again.

Was the writer's block weaker to fire or ice attacks?

Is there no limit to gigs?

My 500 GBs has gotten full a few times lately. I now have to manage what I keep installed.

Let me know if there's anything in FFXV you think I would iike.

So HAL Laboratory, makers of Kirby and Smash Bros., just released their first mobile game in the US.  It's called Part Time UFO.  Check it out if you're interested.

I've heard about and seen screen shots, as well as seen that it got good reviews.  What do you think?

GTA SA is a little odd playing it with touch screens. I tried one year while I was on a flight. Jade Empire plays much better as a touch screen game and I have yet to go back to playing it. I wish there were more actual games for the iPad instead of Freemium games. I'll pay the money to play a full game instead of a game that always limits you to how much you can play unless you throw in some coin.

yeah I don't like freemium either. There's plenty of ports though to keep things interesting.
