Ni No Kuni 2

Did I tell you I got Ni No Kuni 2? I'm not very far, just finished with the first mission, but I love it already. First of all, the combat system is totally different - more like a modern FF or Tales game, where you control a character you attacks, blocks, runs around, and uses skills; while the computer controls the other characters. It's great.

It's also a very beautiful game (of fucking course). Already I'm pulled into the story, with many questions to be answered. It's like a anime fairy tale, and very whimsical but also very serious and (not overly) dramatic.

So for those of you who did not like the original's combat, but did like everything else, I tell you this one is much better.

Oh cool. I got a free month of Gamefly when I went to cancel and so kept it just to have Ni No Kuni 2 on the list by itself. I hope I get it next week.

I probably won't get Ni no Kuni 2, at least not right away. I never beat the first game, but I think I got pretty far. I didn't mind the battle system, I just felt the game was way too long and meandering and overbloated. Plus I just don't have time for it right now. I still haven't beat Lost Sphear yet and I got the Secret of Mana remake after that, plus everything I need to review. So it's just not in the cards right now.

I think you'd really like it. It's beautiful to look at too, and has lots of cute stuff and characters.

I haven't picked up Ni no Kuni 2 yet, but I will on payday. I loved the first game, combat and all. This game looks incredible.

I've been tempted to pick this up, but I'm too broke to afford $100 on a game ATM. Never really got around to the first one either though. Do I need to play it first?
