The SuperNintendo game, "Spiderman and the X-Men: Arcade's Revenge" was another game that one of my friends had but I never possessed. I would play it at his house. I was older then...15 I guess, and my gaming was waning in the face of drugs and girls. But I did play stuff occasionally. The game was released in 1992, to mostly negative reviews, but I had been a huge Marvel fan when I was younger, and that fandom made me overlook the so-so graphics and imprecise controls.

Team-ups like that were common in comic books, in fact I still have the issues where Spiderman teams up with X-Force for a bit against Juggernaut. So it made sense for a game with that gimmick. It's too bad it wasn't that good. I don't think I got very far in it... at least until you could be Wolverine, which was fun.

My friend had a brother, and upstairs in their house they had a "game room". It included their Genesis, SNES, and a MSDOS PC for games. I remember playing many a Madden game there, but I'll get to that another time.

It's funny that these days when Marvel is everywhere, there are so few Marvel games. I remember there being a ton on the 16 bit systems - for the Xmen, Spiderman, the Hulk, etc. I wish there were more now.

I remember renting that Hulk game. I don't think it was very good, but I liked the visuals if I recall. I also remember the Spider-Man and Venom beat-em-up with the red cartridge.

Anyway, I was 2 when this game released and I have no idea what the fuck you're talking about, Mr. "drugs and girls."

The Hulk game was definitely not good. But that Spiderman/Venom game was da bomb.

I do have a comic book where Spider-Man fights Powdered Toast Man.  Guess who won? :)

I don't really get into comic books much, so I never played too many of the Marvel games.  I enjoyed Captain America and the Avengers arcade game because it was so cheesy and you could pick up vending machines, and I played a lot of the Marvel vs. Capcom games.  But mostly for the Capcom stuff.  Most of what I know about Marvel either comes from the movies, LEGO games, or Marvel vs. Capcom titles.  Like, those games taught me about characters like "Purple Hair Lady Who Shoots Out Pink Things." Or "Mrs. Hulk."

It may not be so bad to not have as many Marvel games now, as Disney would have their fingers in the pie all the time.

She-Hulk is actually pretty cool! She's kind of tongue in cheek.

I was really into comics when I was a kid, and I still read them now and then. It's nice that they're making movies now.

I heard recently that there are a bunch of Avengers games being made. I just want to play another Deadpool game, or Wolverine game. . . and a Dr. Strange game. It is kind of weird there hasn't been more Marvel games outside of Lego ones.

I think a Dr. Strange or Wolverine game would be really cool.

Dr. Strange for sure. Maybe a harder one to pull off, but I want to travel the astral plane and do battle with Dormamu.

I remember the handful of Marvel games. I think I played a bit of the Captain America and the Avengers game. It seemed all of the Marvel games kind of have the same type of game play, that kinda worked but wasn't as good as it could have been.

yeah they were mostly sidescrolling beat em ups, but that genre has kind of died off now. They could make cool 3rd person action games with a lot of those heroes.

I never liked Spider-Man games till they moved into 3D with that PS1 game. Spidey just doesn't work in 2D, in my opinion.

Yeah I totally agree with that. There were some ok Genesis spiderman games, but they're nothing like swinging in 3D.
