BaD Games I Gotta Finish - Half Life 2

That's right. I haven't finished the game I consider and proclaim as the best single player FPS of all time.

I got the Orange Box shortly after I moved back to Maryland. My sister had gotten me a gift card and I bought it with that. It was an amazing value. I beat Portal, and played hour upon hour of Team Fortress. And I played Half-Life 2, which blew my mind. I've played through it twice, maybe three times. But I always get stuck on the tripod battle in the alien building at the end. I just can't beat it.

So I quit and played Episode 1. Beat that. Played Episode 2. That ends up with a big tripod battle too, so I quit that damn crap.

I'd love to play through this again and finally beat it. Maybe one day when I get a gaming PC.

I really wanted The Orange Box when it first came out so I could play Portal, but I didn't want to pay full price for just one small game and I wasn't interested in the others. But later when I saw The Orange Box for 20 bucks, I picked it up then. If I would've played Portal back in the year it came out, I would've given it my GOTY that year instead of Super Mario Galaxy.

Hmmm. After thinking about this, I don't know. probably the original Quake.

I first played it on Xbox just before Xbox 360 came out, then again on Orange Box. I replayed it recently but not really because I just play the levels for secrets and not completion. That tripod battle almost stopped me the first time.
