Another One Bites the Dust

Well, I beat the Final Fantasy 7 Remake. I don't know what I feel about it. I'm mostly glad it's over and I don't have to play it anymore. There are some great moments. But there are also a lot of shit sidequests, abject idiocy, and the story goes to some places in the end that are a little ridiculous. There ARE things I like about it, and it's not just nostalgia - there's some good storytelling here. But you have to wade through a lot of junk.

I felt compelled to beat it in case the sequels are better. Also, I just can't quit FF7.

I'm still playing Vesperia, but with FF7 done, I'm gonna play the PS4 Spiderman game too now. My brother bought it for me years ago and I still haven't played it, so it's about damn time.

I'm playing the Spiderman Miles Morales on PS4 this weekend, also by Insomniac games.

I started Spider-Man last night. Combat is really good.

They're pretty much the same game mechanically, but it's a good core design so why not?

One of my brothers reviewed the FF7 remake for me a while back.  Right now I'm working on finishing up Ys 9.  I may have it beat by next week or so.

I still have to play Ys 8. The mechanics of 9 look very interesting though.

Ys 9 is kind of the same game as Ys 8, just with a different setting.  Ys 9 may be a bit shorter, though.  Ys 8 took me about 45 hours to beat.  I'm in the final chapter of Ys 9 and just shy of 30 hours.
