Never thought to buy game consoles at Rado Shack.  I'd get a Vita, too, if it had more games on it that interested me.  Right now it's only the Katamari game, Gravity Rush, and the new Ys title.

you might like that new Tearaway game by the people who made LBP too.  I think it comes out this month.

Yeah, I saw the sale online and just couldn't resist.

Are you a member of PS+ Matt? If not, i'd highly recommend it. Games like Gravity Rush and Uncharted are still on the instant games collection and are amazing (especially Gravity Rush). Also, Soul Sacrifice is free later this month. Exciting!

yes I am.  Sine Mora is free this month too, which is one of my favorite games.  I can't afford any right now, but I'll enjoy the PS+ ones.

I just finished Sine Mora, good game indeed. I haven't bought a game for PS+ since P4G in the first couple of days of owning it but have pumped a heck of a lot of hours in. PS+ is totally worth it for Vita support alone for me

Well, you are lucky that the Vita is pretty sweet.  I have been having some difficulty getting back into Etrian Odyssey because of it.

yeah I'm really excited!

Congrats on your new Vita! It seems like you have been wanting one for a while now. I'm surprised it was that cheap at Radio Shack. Radio Shack is usually content to rob people blind lol. Did you get any games for it?

Matt Snee Staff Writer

11/12/2013 at 10:35 AM

no, I can't afford any games!  But there's PS+ games I have.

One of us! One of us!

That's a great deal! I paid the full $250 for mine and I don't regret it one bit. Such an awesome handheld!

yeah, I've wanted one for awhile. I'm so excited about it!

Wow, that's it.  That's a nice price.

yeah I couldn't say no to that.  It's no frills, but it's about what I wanted to spend.

Congrats. Hard to justify at full price nowadays, but that's a pretty good deal. Hope the thing starts getting more games soon, now it's really barren.

yeah I feel I got a pretty good deal on it.  I've wanted one for a while.

I was looking ahead to see what's coming that I might want to preorder. I didn't see anything preorder worthy to me for either Vita, 3DS, or Wii-U. I hope more stuff starts being announced once 2014 begins.

I've waited a while, so the backlog of Vita games should take care of me for a while.

Hot damn, you got a heck of a deal, congrats, and welcome fellow Vita owner! Radio Shack has been having awesome random sales!

You have a bunch of PS+ games to start playing, as well as some of the casual freebie games the Vita has.

yeah I can't afford any other games but PS+ games right now!  Tongue Out

Congrats on the Vita! Thats a sweet deal and the only thing I ever bought at Radioshack was a computer mouse lol I may get one next year but I'll most likely have a PS4 before I get a Vita. Plus Pokemon Y will keep me occupied till the next Pokemon game. Have fun with the Vita!

Thanks, Captain N!  YEah, I don't shop at Radioshack often, and I'm surprised they are still in business.  But this was a great deal.

Cool! Is it the original design or the slim? I wish I had the money to get one now because of that OLED screen but it's just a no go. I started playing my PSP again the other day, though, and was reminded how much I like it. I'm sure I'd love a Vita. *sigh* Some day...

Matt Snee Staff Writer

it's the original design.  HAd to have the OLED screen, man.

I bought my 3DS at Radioshack back when I went to New York in 2011. I never regretted that purchaseLaughing

Anyway, really would like to get a Vita, but I will keep my money focused on the Wii U. Maybe when the rerelease a game I want to play, but never made it out of Japan called Danganropa. As far as I know, a Vita version will hit North American shore on 2014.

I've heard of that game.  I think the catalog of Vita games is eventually going to be pretty great.

Let me know what's worth playing. I want a Vita, but there doesn't seem to be enough games to justify me getting it.

Matt Snee Staff Writer

sure, man.  I'm sure I'll be writing plenty about it.

Great! Welcome to the Neighborhood! Here's your Vita-theme fruit basket and complementary Vita Phonebook. A few more friendly neighborly tips:

Invest in screen protectors ASAP. I've been seeing a bunch of Vita themed starter kits on clearance at a bunch of stores. Please don't end up like me and have a bunch of dark spots that show up on your nice LCD screen.

Speaking of Starter kits, try to look for the official Sony one on the cheap. It comes with a 8 gig memory card.

If you don't have PS Plus for your Vita, you should. Its a great way to get free/discounted Vita games.

Matt Snee Staff Writer

11/13/2013 at 10:16 AM

yeah, you're right about the screen protectors, I didn't think of that.

I do have PS+ though!  Laughing

HOW DARE YOU!!! Betrayer of the love for the 3DS! You must be punished! serverly! Hang thou head in shame because you bought a Vita before I could, er I mean before you've fully given your love to a 3DS! For shame, For shame! *runs away all manic*

Seriously though old or new model?

Matt Snee Staff Writer

11/13/2013 at 02:59 PM

older, OLED model of course.  Yes, I'm a bad, bad man.  Laughing

Nice. There are some exceptional games on the handheld. I enjoyed plenty. I played it almost exclusively while owning a 3DS but that will change with the new Zelda on the horizon.

Matt Snee Staff Writer

11/15/2013 at 06:44 AM

yeah the catalog of games really appeals to me.  I do want that Zelda game though!
