I love them. When FFX went to 3D is was a shock to my system. I just love the uniqueness of hand painted backgrounds. unfortunately, they haven't aged well. But some of the ones in Square's games and Resident Evil and such are so well done.
the CG cutscenes of FFIX probably hold up better than the other ones of the PSONE era.
yeah there's definitely a place for streamlined games.
I like the vehicles, but maybe it would have been better for them to be bigger, relative to the size of the figures?

isn't Redout coming to Switch? I love sci fi racing games. I played the hell out of the Wipeout games. Been meaning to get the ps4 collection of those.

I respect these Phoenix Wright games, but they're not exactly my cup of tea. I wonder if they'll do one for the Switch now that the 3DS is kind of old.
Mud monsters. Hate 'em. Except when they do the dishes.
yeah games might be bloated. But some people like that, I guess. I think the cost of games of $60, makes some people kind of hesitant (like me) so the developers compensate with bloat. Replayability is a plus. My favorite games I replay over and over, but some of them are short, and some of them are bloated as well, so it's a finicky thing.
