Neither of these games are really my cup of tea, maybe I'm just impatient or something, but I do have a deep respect for them.  I think though, Metroid has a sort of mystique and mystical nature to it that Castlevania, in all its pulp style, does not. That's my two cents.  

I lost my original, modded PSP at some park or somewhere a long time ago. Man, I had everything on that thing. This was before PSONE classics really so I had really obscure psone games on it. Those were such great days.

You know, I've never played a Darksiders Game. I think my brother did, I'm not sure. 

It's funny how many games are coming out with female protagonists who kick as much ass as men. I think that's cool. I really want to play Horizon. "Goddess of War" sometime, maybe? Who knows!
