iPad Games and Pokemon

I promised myself when a real Pokemon game came out for Switch I'd buy it and get into the series but I haven't yet. But every year for Xmas my sister gives me a $50 Amazon card, and I'm gonna use it on Let's Go Pikachu. Casey's review on the front page of Pixlbit is pretty good, so I'm gonna fulfill my promise.

I bought a couple things for other people over the Thanksgiving sales, but for myself I only gobbled up a couple iPad games that were discounted - XCOM Enemy Within, Dandara (a cool metroidvania) and Transistor. Transistor was just $1.99 so I couldn't say no. I liked Bastion which was that developer's first game, so I thought I'd try this.

We've got some of our Xmas trees up early, having got a jump on decorating this year when usually we're late. I'm xmas shopping and have wrapped one gift so far, a painting we had made for my mother of our dog who died this year, Taco Belle. It's beautiful.

Anyway, hope y'all are well!

I saw that Transistor and Bastion were both $1.99 on the iPad. I thought about getting both but didn't for some odd reason.

Speaking of Christmas decorating I think it is time to bring out my favorite Christmas decoration: the Lego Battle Of Hoth...with Deadpool.

It was a table setup last year where I took my Battle of Hot set, combined it with my Lego AT-AT, and threw in Deadpool, Santa, and the Chicken Man. Here's the link to the blog from last Christmas: Pixlbit Quick Hits Mini

I was 8-9 when Pokemon became a craze stateside (assuming it released 98/99 like I'm thinking it did) and I honestly preferred the card game and TV show to the actual GameBoy game, though I did like the music and presentation of it.

Transistor is a PS+ freebie I played when I first got my PS4, but never really went back to. It's gonna be way more up your alley though, so I hope you enjoy.

That's a neat gift for your mom/Taco Belle.

Pokemon came out long after I was a kid so I missed it.

I was the exact age to be caught up in that initial wave of Pokemania, but did not stick with it after. I honestly thought it was a fad.

Apparently not!  Laughing

I've been meaning to try the main Pokemon games for a while now. I also seem to pick up on the spinoffs instead like Pokemon Conquest. Hey, I watched a friend play one a few years ago for weeks on end. Does that count?

Why not? Wink

It looks too much for kids, I guess. I hear the mechanics are interesting though. People at work were talking about it, and I felt left out.
