Yea, I'm worried Microsoft is going to cut and run like they did with the original Xbox and give us very limited backwards compatibility.

Oh man! I played this last year on a whim, because I usually don't play horror games, and fell totally in love with it. There's so much tension in the game because you have to do a lot of melee fighting. There are a few guns but amo is a rare thing. It's best to learn how to fight hand to hand because the final battle will test you on those techniques exclusively. I just loved the visceral nature of the first person view fighting in the game. So brutal, so exciting. I have the sequel that I need to get to sometime soon.
Oh, I forgot. This game is so far not hard at all. After 15 hours I finally lost a battle but the game let me replay it immediately with no loss of stats, items or characters. And so far I haven't felt like I was grinding at all. Your progress in the game is pretty linear with random encounters along your route. I've yet to back track just to gain levels.
Funny. My friend tried it out and didn't like it at first. The beginning is mostly dialog with annoying Makoto being as over-the-top gay as he possibly can be. I started playing it next and kept with it until the battles started. After a while you lose Makoto and Toya and you pick up a possibly more annoying shrewish female character. It's all more humerous than annoying to me. I'm actually enjoying the voice work. Characters being annoying actually makes them seem more real to me. Anyway, my friend was watching me play all this time and changed his mind about the game and this weekend we will be playing it in tandem. He'll probably catch up to me even though I have a 15 hour head start. I'm glad you are playing it too leeradical42. We'll all have something to share over the next few weeks.
Also, I noticed the grid in the battles reminds me of Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes. There's no color matching here in Enchanted Arms but the grid is oriented the same way as is the way attacks have ranges and areas of effect.
Yes. I picked up a second copy as well, because my friend saw me play it and got interested. $5 at GameStop. Can't beat that.
That's cool. I didn't know there were other Def Jam games.
I got Suikoden 1 on PSN and loved it. I need to go back and finish it. Suikoden 2 sounds great and I want to play it badly. I played Suikoden 4 last year. It was cool but spammed random encounters at me so much I rage quit half way through.
Also, I rented Hotel Dusk way back when but didn't get too far before I got frustrated with it.
Cool. I'll be getting Battlestations Pacific sometime in the future.
Funny, I was just at Gamestop today and the salesman was wearing a X-Men Origins: Wolverine T-Shirt. We got to chatting about it too. I like it when Gamestop employees actually talk to you like they mean it and not just to lure you into a sale. I've met a couple guys/gals who will hold a conversation with you just so they can seduce you into a preorder. I totally hate that! It's dishonest. Do that to me and I'll never come to that store again. I've got two stores now on my "do not go" list. This one wasn't one of them however.
