that's strange that your computer could handle Arkham City at one point but now cannot.  I have the same problem with Wasteland 2.  It was working fine when it came out, but now it's almost unplayable.  

Did you play Ground Zeroes?  

I haven't played too much PRoject Cars, but it is a simulation, and might be unforgiving, I don't know.  I'll report back.
