well the other reason they call The Wire novelistic is because it deals with social issues, which is more common in realistic novels than movies or TV. I think that's where the show really excels.
oh, you're missing out, man. There are some good later games. FF9, 10, and 12 are quite awesome.
And I do like the music. It is odd, but I like it.
yeah I was just out of high school when I played this too, so I dug that. I really like Balamb Garden, the opening school of the game. It's fun running around there with that great music.
I don't know if it's possible to play the beginning of FF8 without summons... but I think later in the game they are less important. I do really like this game, but its flaws make me play it over again less than the other final fantasies.
yeah, FF9 is one of my favore it games of all time. FF8 needed more moogles.
Yeah, there are many different forms of storytelling. I read a long essay recently about the "novelistic" storytelling of HBO's The Wire. I need to rewatch that.
yeah, it's tough with a controller, but it can be done. It's a great game though.
