Wow, this sounds pretty cool. Glad you guys were able to give it a go at the convention. I wonder how they are calculating your movement in three dimensions. If it's taking key markers of the room around you, I wonder if it would work in an all white room.

I've always noticed these little mini-games in Namco titles, but never realized there was actually an associated copyright. Cool idea, but unfortunate that it dissuades other companies from implementing the concept due to licensing fees.

Is the PSPgo Really Worth It?

Posted on 10/06/2009 at 03:09 PM | Filed Under Feature

I think Sony's biggest mistake was rolling this out mid-generation. They really should've waited till the next incarnation of the PSP to make such a bold move.

They are going to have a hard time streaming current PSP owners to be go owners when they are forced to sacrifice their whole catalog.

As for me, I'm not keen on a digital download future for a lot of reasons. You sacrifice too much to have the convenience. I do think that Sony is taking the right approach in terms of content distribution. Having both digital and physical form of the media is an effective was to provide content to your consumers. However, the pricing of digital goods still needs some drastic retooling. You can't offer less for the same price. Most current consumers simply won't latch on to that.
