As of Tuesday, first day of my staycation, I've played quite a lot of Diablo III: U.E.E. with Mark; bought Star Wars Battlefront, Mad Max and the most recent Skylanders Adventure pack; and almost finished Skylanders Academy season one. Details below.

That title might scare you but it's just Mark and I playing Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition this Xmas eve. I had to work for three hours in the middle there, but I dashed back to his place and picked up where I left off, chasing the Dream Team achievement.

Couldn't stop thinking about the Midway Arcade Level Pack I wanted from Lego Dimensions, plus I was bored, so I went to Toys R Us hoping they still had their sale. They didn't. So I went to BestBuy around the corner. They did. I got it for $17 instead of $30. Yeah!

Played Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition all day today on XBO. I chose the Witch Doctor character because I wanted one that could conjure minions. The whole time I couldn't stop singing this old novelty song, Witch Doctor, from 1958. Check it out.

I played several turn-based strategy games today, and boy did they frustrate the heck out of me: XCOM 2 and The Banner Saga. What's the point of leveling a character just to watch him/her die in the next few battles? Mistakes are fatal in these two games.

I'm thinking of changing my approach to games. So far, my method of playing games has been largely this: play the campaign, then go for achievements. Well, I may revise that to this: decide on an attitude to take (a role to play), and play the game faithfully to that, done. No more chasing some list that dictates what is the ultimate challenge in a game.
