Half-Life 2 is one of my favorites.  Can't wait to play it on Steam's VR thingie whenever it comes out.  

it's a cool game, but it is, like you said, turn based.  I think you would like it otherwise though.

I've heard a lot of hype for Badlands.  It was on mobile first I think but now it's on consoles and PC's, etc.
